I have to give the media and the fasion industry credit: They've done a spectacular job creating wholly unrealistic ideas of proper body image.

One of my friends is 23 and female.

I've known her since high school, when she was pretty happy with her body. As well she should have been—she looked great and had a flat, toned stomach even I was envious of.

Two kids later, she confided in me that she's been considering lipo because she has a tiny pooch that hadn't gone away. And mind you, this was like a month after she popped a kid out. In her mind, her body was destroyed and required tens of thousands of dollars of plastic surgery to "fix" it.

Except she still looks great. Better than 98% of the women on the face of the planet. And it's very possible it would minimize itself with a combination of time (to finish dropping her pregnancy body) and exercise.
