Wait, what?

I stopped at WaMu on the way home to transfer some money at the ATM.

I put my card in, punched my PIN, mashed all the buttons until I got to making a transfer... and was presented with four options.

On the right hand of the screen were the old standbys, "From Checking to Savings" and "From Savings to Checking."

But there on the left side were two inexplicable options: "From Checking to Checking" and "From Savings to Savings."

I almost pushed one of them just to see what on earth would happen. WaMu's ATMs are friendly and conversational, so I suppose it's possible it could be a pair of joke entries. At the same time, though, I have a hard time believing anyone would actually put fake functions on an ATM. And I have no idea what possible purpose one could have for transferring money right back into the account it came out of.
